Founding Employee & Product Designer
2018 — 2025 — Publica
Hands-on, first row, defining experience of a startup growth. I joined the founding team as the right arm to the CEO and grew with the company up to leading a team of product designers. Halfway into this journey, Publica sold for $220 million to Integral Ads Science.

As the founding team we moved fast and nimbly — what mattered was getting things done. After a year of iterations, Publica found its market-fit within the booming TV streaming industry. The vision was to build the SaaS platform and infrastructure to bring real-time advertising to connected TVs, powering a world-class experience for the audience. Think of no laggy content, no repeated ads nor wacky spin-loader while optimizing revenue per ad opportunity.
Over two years, the team scaled from 8 people to 35, and executed well enough to earn a top acquisition. I was part of that process end to end — I jumped between product design, marketing, hiring, strategic pitch deck prep, and whatever was on fire that week. All the way into navigating the data room. It was fast, messy, and one of the most formative experiences of my (young) career. I learned that the best thing you can bring to a company is the ability to show up consistently, adapt quickly, and care genuinely about the effectiveness of the product you deliver.
Post acquisition, focus shifted to be solely on the product design. The goal was then to bring Publica to an enterprise-grade platform with a reliable & intuitive interface. I was in charge of the entire lifecycle from UX research, prototypes testing, build with engineering and release to users. I partnered with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams on the daily to establish prioritization and boost new feature adoption. I also accumulated experience working across various teams in the holding company, acting as a resource for various product teams.

One of the top focus I stuck with was how fast can a user get to the data that matters. I called it “time to data” and for some users it meant be able to view our data from their phone. While watching TV.
